Arbaal´s finished works

Postby Arbaal on Wed May 06, 2015 11:27 am

Since i am getting a bit more productive this year, doing more than one model isnt "prototype" any more, so i did a new thread for my finished works. My lonely muscleletter got 2 more battlebrothers to take skulls for khorne. As you may notice i found my "blood for the blood god"-paint (i must have misplaced it) and felt the need to use it...
i guess the name bloodletter is no coincidence at this type of daemons. ;) I hope you like it.

They are looking excellent, as far as I can see, but mate: You definitely need a different way of hosting and posting images. Seriously! ;)

The muscle letters look great!
Makes me want to get a box of bloodletters and skullreapers and get to converting!

Have you tried setting up an account with Photobucket, Imageshack, Flickr? You can upload your
pics, edit them if needed and then link to them here.

nope, never tried. i dont want to have too many accounts and that kind of stuff, i´m spending too much time in front of the computer anyway. i have a facebook account where i post my stuff. can i set links from facebook here, if the folder with my warhammer pics is public (which it is)?

the muscleletters are easy, you just need a small amount of GS to do the neck and things are done. i love that kit... really, i cant get enough of them! ;)
i am thinking about a new project to build some bloodcrushers, by using skullcrusher juggers and legs and upper bodies of that kit for the daemonkin army or to do some chosen for my warriors of chaos army (as they are even bigger than the normal chaos warriors), by using the the skullreaper bodies (with normal weapons or handweapon and shield) with the wrathmonger (bunnyear) helmets... lets see how fantasy 9th ed will be, after that i can still think about that plan.

I'm not sure if you can link from FB. I didn't see anything that would allow sharing/linking with external (to FB) sites.

Fantasy 9th will be fine. I like the idea of using the Skull Crusher juggers (and the riders legs ) with the Skull Reapers bodies to make Muscled versions of Bloodcrushers. Would be an expensive conversion, potentially, but it would give the unit a very unique look.

here i (finally) present my chickenleg-muscleletters:

it took me damn THREE months to paint the models. i dont know where my motivation went, but it went down and the only way i can explain that, is that painting more models at once takes longer, so at some point the motivation is just GONE cus you dont get the *yay*-effect of finally finishing a model. the problem was, i had to finish the stuff now, cus i dont like to start a new project (contest) before bringing one to an end.

as you can see my photography skills did not improve. i also had a problem with the blood on the black weapons which can hardly be seen. using flash didnt make that better but honestly i finished the guys at 1.30am, tooks some pics and posted the best one just to get it done and get it out of my mind... the other pics were even worse! ;)
now i can concentrate on something new... something BIG!

Started my first set of 8 new bases, as GW puts their bloodletters on 32mm now. normally i should be annoyed to buy new bases, but my muscleletters were too big for 25mm anyway, so it´s a great opportunity to "give them more space".
Only sad thing is, that my normal bases-dealer "microart" still isnt up to date and has no 32mm bases, so i had to look for a new company and found "tabletop-art", a company that is even located in munich, where i live.

I like the bases. Very fitting for bloodletters.
Once you have your models based, they will be looking
extra 'killy'!!

Thanks,
Tom
